We could not have asked for better weather for our Falvelon Lodge Stable BBQ. The sun was shining and there was not a cloud in the sky. Former jockey and life-long friend Shane Scriven and stable Foreman Lucas Kwaka did an excellent job manning the four BBQ’s (although Scrive coped a bit of flack for burning the gourmet sausages). It was wonderful to host so many new owners who have joined our stable in recent months and we can already tell we are going to have a lot of fun racing together. We informally paraded the yearlings and then a couple of the two-year-olds. The horses especially seemed to enjoy the endless pats and cuddles from the owners.
