Flinders Dragon once again delighted us by showing his love for the give in the track surface at the Coffs Harbour Racing Club. Flinders Dragon seems to enjoy his travels south as he has been to Coffs Harbour on four occasions for 2 wins, 1 second and 1 third and he was narrowly beaten in a photo finish at Port Macquarie at his only outing at that track. In his latest win he was partnered by Laura Cheshire who rode him to perfection. Laura was not deterred by his odds of $26 instead she rode him like he was the best horse in the race. The attached photo is of Laura sitting beside him in the barriers whilst they waited for the rest of the field to load. The win takes Flinders Dragons earnings to over $60K which is not bad considering he was purchased for a mere $10,000.
