As the New Year chimes in the excitement builds towards the start of the yearling sale season. First up we have the Magic Millions on the beautiful Gold Coast. What a wonderful week of events they have planned, all culminating in the Magic Millions race, where Oakleigh Girl will represent the stable in style on behalf of her lucky owner Louise Gillard. Oakleigh Girl was purchased to spark Louise’s interest in racing horses. As the plucky filly lead all the way to win by 3 lengths on debut down the straight at Flemington, in the Group 3 Chanel 7 Stakes, Louise turned to her husband Steve and announced “Steven my interest has been sparked”.
We have plenty of yearlings marked off in the Magic Millions catalogue so we are eager to start the inspections later this week.
