It was a terrific thrill for our colt Azzareach to win on debut on Saturday at the Gold Coast in the QTIS 2YO Maiden. Although still learning the colt has plenty of raw talent and he was given a gem of a ride by King of the Coast Dan Griffin. Jumping from barrier 8 in a field of 14 runners Azzareach ran the 900m in 51.58 with the last 600m in a respectable 33.42 seconds. Azzareach is from the first crop of Widden Stud sire Outreach out of the Reset mare Mini. Outreach is a son of World Champion Sire of Sprinters Exceed and Excel. He is a full brother to Blue Diamond and Golden Slipper winner Overreach and a three Quarter brother to Sidestep sire of Golden Slipper winner Kiamichi.
